Crucifixion by Daniel Dunkle
So here I am after 10 minutes on the cross asking passers-bye to take pictures with my camera.
I am carrying half my weight on my legs and my arms already hurt.
The Romans had this all figured out; they would fasten your legs with the knees slightly bent so that you could push up and relieve the tension on your arms and so be able to breath.
If they kind of liked you they would break your legs after a while so that you would sag down and suffocate, otherwise you stayed alive for a day or so.
Even without the four nails this would definitely begin to suck after an hour or two.

Parking Meter by Tom Bullock
I brought out the parking meter again. Set it up way out around 2:00. People actually put money in it. 2 quarters, 2 dimes, 6 nickels, a foreign 1p coin, and a little oval Burning Man medallion.

Dragons of Eden by Steve Hosking
Multi headed stainless steel dragon. They sing and breathe fire.
View of his back from about 11:00. Red LED beating heart visible.
His right arm has fallen, breaking the lights on that side.
This seems to be an inherent design flaw as his arms have had similar problems in previous years.
The Man burns
The second big burst of fireworks.
The Man burns
I usually don't carry a camera during the burning of the Man; it is just not right to be watching through a viewfinder.
This year I had a long zoom lens, tripod, and cable release, so I could watch the fire and take pictures at the same time.
The pyramid was so large that I just set up way back in the bicycle parking lot and could see fine without being in the crowd.
The Man burns
He wobbles, and then falls on his back.

Just North of the Flight to Mars there was a vertical row of flashing lights. It didn't look like much at first, but if you flit your eyes back and forth a picture appeared. It works kind of like a television on it's side with the vertical scan broken so that the picture is all in one horizontal line. I managed to get this picture in several tries by swinging my camera sideways.

There is an excellent maze inside.
